Current Timeline of Carina On-Premise
September 1st - January 14 : Work that must take place before users are onboarded:
- Configuration of Jupyter environment, and related research software
- Configuration of security policies and networking
- Setup of archive and backups
- Writing of a Disaster Recovery Plan
- Ensure compliance with MinSec requirements for high-risk data
- Data Risk Assessment to be reviewed by Information Security Office
Week of January 10th: Limited onboarding of alpha users with a specific small set of available tools
January 17th - January 31: Further configuration of research software
- Alpha user feedback and planning for future production operation
February - April: Operational readiness
- User management configuration
- Storage and backup
- Environment config management in place
May: Setup of additional hardware and further configuration of research software
- Add Rstudio, Shiny, SAS and Stata to Carina
- Add existing owner nodes to Carina (previously Nero nodes)
June: Onboarding of Beta testers
